Hi all! Happy New Year! (I can still say that, right?)
I want to begin by saying thank you to everyone who came to my show on January 10th, the turnout was awesome and the support was incredible. As always, I am grateful you allow me to share my passion for learning and for painting with you.
I know I’ve been MIA for a little while now, but it’s for good reasons. On January 13th, I was invited to speak at a house party. I would have invited you but it was a private event. While there, I had the pleasure speaking on the history of the Women’s Rights Movement from 1776-1990s. It was the first time I got a chance to weave a tapestry of the women I’ve painted: their stories and their impact on our society. I think I’m hooked.
January 15th was my birthday. I spent that time with friends: old and new. I’ve had house guests since then, so it’s been a little challenging to get my bearings. Never fear though, I’ll be back to drawing and painting new pieces soon.
In the the meantime, I’m using this lull to plan for the future. There will be more speaking engagements, both public and private. I have been invited to do several talks at schools and will be part of the GLBT Center’s Outspoken Speaker Series on March 8th.
Be on the lookout for new Women Behaving Badly products this year. In the meantime, feel free to peruse the products already on the website. If you are in the Denver Metro Area and would like me to speak at your school/home/business, please shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I look forward to hearing from you!
