All Set Up! Time to Work

Good afternoon Afro Triangle Peeps. I just realized that I didn’t write a post this morning! I was so excited to get back to the studio, I completely forgot to write. Some of you have been wondering what the new digs look like. Well wonder no longer!

Here are some pics of the new studio. img_20160918_174400 img_20160919_132014 img_20160919_132024 img_20160919_132030 img_20160919_132047

I’m starting to get my speakers ready for our panel discussion tomorrow night on Women in Literature. Three authors, Robyn Vie Carpenter, Cassi Clark and Jennifer Kincheloe, will be talking about their new books as well as what drives their writing. As always, I will ask each my three questions: who are you, what do you do, and why do you do it. The Women in STEM discussion was amazing, and I’m sure this one will be too!

And let’s not forget that on Friday, I will have the students of East High School’s Women’s Lit class. They will be sharing their stories based on the book One Hundred Demons by Lynda Barry. I expect the conversation to get deep. These are some seriously intelligent young people. Please check out the event calendar below for more details.
